Gaming on Linux for the First Time... (Left 4 Dead)

*** SORRY! Posted this in the wrong section ***

So, I got really pissed off at Vista yesterday and decided to just install Kubuntu. Took me a few hours to get everything working just right. I've never really used Linux as a primary OS. I do software development on a Red Hat machine at work, and I had been running a Linux server at home for a few years.

This also means - gaming on Linux. Got Cedega. STEAM installed just fine, though it's kind of quirky (no Flash support, missing vertical scrollbars.) Downloaded Left 4 Dead overnight and tried it out. It takes a pretty huge framerate hit as compared to Windows, and a big image quality hit. This is on my quad core system, with 8GB of RAM and a 9800GT video card. It works just fine, but it's slooow.

Still, mad props to Cedega for even having this game work on a separate OS without developer support. I'll try out Saints Row 2 and see what happens.
