During the board conversion our avatars got owned.
They all became stretched to 100x100.

You can go into your User Control Panel and PUT THE URL and IMAGE DIMENSIONS in, hit Submit, and they will look proper once again.

Maximum avatar image dimensions are : 120px x 120px.
